How To Meditate More Effectively

MeditateEarlier in the extensive history of EffingTheDog.com, I discussed the truth behind meditation.  For those of you that aren’t in the loop, you can check out the post here.  For those of you that are “looped in”, I’m going to impart some brief pieces of advice on how to be more effective in this all-important habit.  I must stress that you really need to learn how to meditate initially before you take on these tidbits of wisdom.

1.  If you are having trouble meditating:  tossing and turning, snoring, grinding teeth, things of that nature – ensure you are not meditating alone.
You most definitely want to have a loved one or complete stranger lying next to you.  Either way, as long as you work through it so your meditative state is not disturbed, you’re Effing The Dog™ in style.
2.  Learn how to “meditate in.” You can never meditate for too long, so feel free to let the world go by as you meditate throughout the better part of the morning.  If you find yourself “waking” at around 1:00 PM, you’re doing alright.

3.  Every once in awhile, throw some booze in you before meditating. It can help with both of the above steps. Once you’ve worked the above into your meditating regimen, Effing The Dog™ will be more of a natural occurrence in your life.  Victory!
